Dov is a guest lecturer at Orange Coast College!

For the second year in a row Dov was invited to be a guest lecturer at the Orange Coast College class “Design in Everyday Life”. He spoke about everything from “What We Do at DKE”, to “What a Designer Toy Is” but mostly he was there to discuss the business aspects of getting a project to market.

Dov explains how a retail price evolves.

Dov explains the different types of materials to make toys out of.

At DKE we rarely have anything to do with actually making toys. But, we were involved with the production of Mike Egan’s BONES figure that DKE Toys debuted at SDCC 2012. So here is the slideshow we used to express the evolution of 2D object to 3D object.

Hi Krakit, We did record the audio, but it is pretty bad. Next time we plan to really record it properly. Thanks! SJ
