DKE Toys and their vendors donated over 3000 toys to charity in 2013
This year DKE and their vendors donated thousands of toys to various charities. Each year DKE holds an annual “junk sale” at Designer Con in Pasadena where damaged and unboxed toys are sold to raise money. Between DKE, money raised at DCon, and gifts from DKE’s vendors, toys and other goods were donated to the following charities:
- LAPD North Hollywood Area Holiday Toy Drive
- LA Firefighter “Spark of Love” Toy Drive
- Kids Wish Network “Our Wish Granting” program
- Give America Foundation Family Resource Center Annual Charity Distribution
- Children’s Development Center at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center
- County of Los Angeles Department of Park and Recreation “Here Comes Santa” event
- Together We Rise adoption festival at McKinley’s Children Center
- St. Marks AME Church “Annual Food, Toy and Clothing Give-Away”
- Unidos Para Ti “Toy Drive in the Barrio”
- City of Gulfport
- Out of the Closet
- Goodwill Industries
- San Diego Center for Children
- Good Shepard Center
- Casa Hogar -Children of Promise/ Ninos de la Promesa
- Sacred Heart School
