FLYING LULU teamed up with German artist VISEone who is best known for his COMIC STRIPPED CUSTOM SERIES and his successful TUBE DUNNY CUSTOM SERIES that features dripping paint shaping a toy coming out of a tube which flows in the air.
Now here’s his first big production series featuring the tube concept and his own characters.
While this first character introduces VISEone’s new series he is currently working on the upcoming characters to complete and expand the set.

About Miss Mao
Miss Mao was initially created as a 2.5m tall sculpture, exhibiting in museums worldwide. To make art affordable to the everyday collector of art and toys, Mighty Jaxx and FLABSLAB worked with The Gao Brothers to produce a space friendly 24cm tall resin version.
The Gao Brothers’ tarnished impression of Mao Zedong is reflected in Miss Mao’s Pinocchio tell tale nose representing the lie that Mao had always been during his leadership to his people. The subtle and weak smile is a reverse play on Mao’s confidence in his leadership, displaying the artists’ disapproval towards Mao. Finally, The Gao Brothers displaces Mao Zedong’s omnipotence through the fusion of full womanly breasts, demeaning the leader’s power and gendered powerlessness.
About The Gao Brothers The Gao Brothers, 56 year old Gao Zhen and 50 year old Gao Qiang, are a pair of artist brothers based in Beijing. They have been collaborating on a variety of disciplines like painting, performance, sculpture, photography and writing since the mid 1980s. As pioneering artists at the forefront of contemporary and cultural art in China, they have gained global recognition for their humorous yet critical play on injustice, poverty, violence, social and political hypocrisy, and political oppression.
Their works have been exhibited all over the world, and held in private and museums collections like the National Museum of China, Centre Georges Pompidou, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, The Princeton University Art Museum, in China and across the world.
