Leia is not your Toy by Amanda Visell and Michelle Valigura
Our favorite princess once came packaged with a comb accessory and a mirror. That’s right, look it up! The vintage 12” doll had no blaster, no weapon of any kind to defend herself. This is one way to make Amanda Visell and Michelle Valigura mad. But anger often leads to important art. Here is Amanda and Michelle’s answer in toy form. A hand painted hand cast 3.75” carded resin figure. Signed and numbered edition of 50 featuring 10 each of 5 different t-shirt designs. $100
Amanda Visell grew up with a crazy love for vintage Disney. Mousketeers, war era cartoons, a different time. She spent her teens in the Pacific Northwest during the riot grrl music movement and was captivated by the large community of independent artists and their overall message of equality. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in visual development for animation, eventually becoming a designer and sculptor on stop motion segments for shows like The Simpsons and the feature film Elf. Her career took a sharp turn when she started showing her paintings publicly. Since 2005 she has exhibited her work, lectured, and taught workshops at galleries and museums internationally (not just Canada). She has partnered with brands to develop product lines based on her artwork including Disneyland U.S.A and Kidrobot. In 2007 she formed her own design brand, Switcheroo with notable artist Michelle Valigura. She currently lives in northern Los Angeles with chickens and dogs. She did not go to college.?

Stripewok by Little Lazies
Meet Stripewok! Each piece is hand sculpted by Leah Lester of Little Lazies. No two are exactly the same but they are so close to one another that it’s kind of hard to imagine that they aren’t cast and she made 30 of them!!! The 2” figures are signed and numbered on the bottom of the figure and carded in a package she designed and are only $55. Don’t get them wet and don’t feed them after midnight.
Bio: Little Lazies are weird, little, clay creatures made by Leah Lester, a monster maker living in Seattle, WA. How did it all start? Leah was a full time cake decorator who very much enjoyed sculpting out of edible paste for the cakes she created. One sunny day in June 2010 she said to herself, “I want to make a monster for the top of this cake!” So she did just that… Soon after, her friends started encouraging her to create these characters into clay; something that they could keep for a lifetime. So with that, Leah bought some clay and with lots of practice, experimenting, character developing and imagination her monsters evolved into what they are today – the Little Lazies!
