Each artist created an original painting of the character for the packaging. Affixed to each card back is an authentic Kenner Salacious Crumb action figure from 1983. Each card back is signed and numbered by the participating artist out of 100. All 11 package styles will premiere at SDCC for $25 each. Or, deal alert, get all 11 different designs for $200. As of February 1st, 2016 the wholesale distribution arm of the business was sold to\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/disburst.com\/\">Disburst Ltd<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Currently DKE Toys does about 4 conventions a year in which artists from all over the world create limited artist edition figures. Each piece is generally made out of hand poured resin and many are hand painted on custom printed (and sometimes hand drawn) card backs. Sometimes as many as 20 different artists participate in a given show. Many have commented that the DKE booth at these various shows look like a small art exhibition. While these figures are generally referred to as \u201cbootlegs\u201d they are far from pirated versions of mass marketed toys.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Each of these\u00a0artists\u00a0use\u00a0transformative\u00a0properties in their\u00a0work to communicate ideas that are often political, parody, or commentary about\u00a0the pop culture world we live in. Also please do not be confused by the word \u201ctoy\u201d. These are works of art!!! Do not give to a child to play with.
